Q: What is the weight limit?

    A:
The Chunei Carrier is a modern version of Korean baby carrier called Podaegi and its weight limit is 45lb. As a Chunei user, I can confidently say that you can carry a 35lb baby comfortably. I am about 5' and 105lb and carry my 33lbs 3 years old daughter comfortably and plan on using it for another year.

Q: What makes a Chunei different than other carriers?

    A:
Chunei Carriers are a new vest style baby carrier that will give both you and your baby best comfort and the great look. It is different than a baby sling because sling hangs off one shoulder and tends to throw moms body out of alignment. Chunei on the other hand distributes the weight evenly on to your torso and your hips.

All the Baby Bjorn look-alike carriers where baby is hanging by the crotch cause compression of the spine and potentially hip dysphasia. That is just scary. With Chunei Carriers, you don’t have to worry about that just because the baby is in a sitting position rather than hanging by the crotch. A few chiropractors that I’ve talked to have informed me that until baby is able to sit on its own, you should not spread their legs apart simply because it could affect their hip development.

One of the better carriers would be Ergo. Compared to Chunei’s look, it is somewhat utilitarian and not that high fashion. Don’t you want to look good while you carry your baby? Also you have to use something called infant insert (purchase separately $28) in order to use it on a baby under 6 months and can’t have a baby in a sitting position. With Chunei you don’t need to use any infant insert, the way you hold your baby is the exact position he will be in when using Chunei. Also Chunei’s vest style design gives you extra support on top of hip support; you won’t have shoulder pain from it. I’ve talked to some Ergo users and have been told that they’ve had shoulder pain and are now using Chunei, and they don’t have that problem anymore.

Q: I would like my 3 months old to face outward so see could see what’s going on around and still contemplating on Chunei and Baby Bjorn. Can you explain any reason I should choose Chunei over Baby Bjorn?

    A:
It is recommended that babies are carried facing inward for the following reasons:"Infants in outward-facing orientations can’t turn away from surrounding stimuli. They can't turn inward toward a parent's body if stimuli become overwhelming. In this position the baby cannot make eye contact with his or her parent to evaluate facial expressions, social cues, and so forth to make assessment of the situation. Only choose a baby carrier that allows your child to face you ... never out. There are too many events going on around your baby. A baby has no way to exclude himself from the environment by turning his head away and towards you. Healthy sleep is difficult for a baby who is facing outward. I am not a supporter of the outward facing method of carrying a child." From - 'A Baby Wants To Be Carried' by Dr. Eveline Kirkilionis (only available in German at this time) She is a human development specialist. Her research on carrying children started in 1985. She compiled helpful tips on picking a proper baby carrier. She lives in Freiburg, Germany.

Q: I am a first time mom and would like to know if I could learn to do use it on my own?

    A:
Practicing in front of mirror would be a good way to learn it. Sometimes it is hard to tell whether baby is in proper position. The Chunei Carrier is very easy to use and with detailed video instruction you will be able to learn even easier. Please check out How to Wear section and Safety Precautions section for proper instruction. I always encourage you to keep practice. However even after watching the video and practicing you still have difficulties call or email us for more assistance.

Q: Can I use Chunei with my twins?

    A:
No. For a proper carry, the Chunei is designed to carry one baby at a time.

Q: I feel like I have to bend forward to feel like my girl is sitting upright...am I doing something wrong?

    A:
If you have to lean forward in order for the baby to be upright, you need to tighten the shoulder straps. This will get your baby to snuggle close to your back and ultimately get rid of the problem you are having.

Q: I have a 2 year old boy and am 2 months pregnant and would still like to wear a baby carrier. Is it okay to carry my son during my pregnancy?

    A:
We highly recommend not using Chunei Carriers during your pregnancy. Ask your doctor and get a professional opinion.

Q: What kind of fabrics the Chunei carriers are made of?

    A:
